For his fall 2012 show,
Dennis Basso took us on a decadent journey, the theme of which was
The Orient Express. It began with the sound of a train whistle, and of course, with the fact that the almighty
Joan Rivers
was in the front row. Sumptuous featherweight furs worn casually over
cashmere and chiffon dresses set the tone: This was a definite return to
the days of glamor. Patent leather sky high shoes by
Ruthie Davis
in taupe, grey and dark brown enhanced the ensembles perfectly, and
there were definitely audible oohs and aahs from the crowd as the models
came down the runway.
