It's almost Valentine's Day, so what better way to get your heart all aflutter than this picture of Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra taking a bow at the end of their fall 2012 show yesterday at Milk Studios. Somehow, the image of these two (now married!)
hand-holders never gets old. Or perhaps we were feeling all warm and
fuzzy because we had just seen the design duo's collection of sweet
dresses in drapey silks. A few standout pieces from the collection were the final gowns that ran at the end of the show: floor sweepers in heavier, two-toned fabrics with a few select cutouts at the waist, shoulders, and sides. Plus, all of the pieces in the collection (except two, from what we can tell from the run of show) were created using AirDye, a way to dye fabrics without using any water, which they first debuted back in 2009.
