The Fall/Winter collections are the best. Why? In a word: layering. This is the time designers trot out the rich leathers, sweet, sweet outerwear and the occasional fur. So it didn't come as a surprise yesterday when Richard Chai sent his models out stomping in Dr. Martens (on the women) and Palladium boots (his own collab, on the men), and hunkered down deep into winter coats that look as though they can actually take on the elements.
